Feng Shui Useable Timely Timely Stars
How we calculate Useable Period Stars/Numbers
We are all aware of the concept of “Timely” , “Untimely” and “Dead” Stars during a given Period. Many Feng Shui Consultants understand the concept of “Usable” stars, even if they are Untimely.
Let me explain it as I understand it….
We are currently in Period 8 lets start with that. period 9 is looming closer we will chosen will have whichever it’s paired with becomes (even if Untimely) Usable Stars. Start with by merging both the Early(Primordial Bagua) and Later Heaven Sequence.
As each Period or group of Periods is cyclical: Each 180 Year Cycle (Grand Cycle) is subdivided in 3 sectors Upper, Middle and Lower 60 years each. Each of the 3 sectors is subdivided in 3 periods of 20 years each.
Upper Sector contains Period 1 (20yrs), Period 2 (20yrs) and Period 3 (20yrs).
Middle Sector contains Period 4 (20yrs), Period 5 (20yrs) and Period 6 (20yrs).
Upper Sector contains Period 7 (20yrs), Period 8 (20yrs) and Period 9 (20yrs).
1 Full Cycle(Grand Cycle) = 3 Sectors = 3 periods = 180 Years
Let’s use the infinity symbol (looks like digit 8 on its side), first we calculate where each period number from “Later Heaven Sequence” will be placed, by splitting up the outlined circles as below.
Breakdown of Early and Later Heaven Sequences
Period 8 = 8 GEN and 3 ZHEN(Dead/Untimely), 8 GEN and 6 QIAN(Dead/Untimely)
Period 9 = 9 LI and 6 QIAN(Dead/Untimely), 9 LI and 3 ZHEN(Dead/Untimely)
Period 1 = 1 KAN and 2 KUN(Future Ruler) , 1 KAN and 7 DUI(Dead/Untimely)
Period 2 = 2 KUN and 4 XUN(Apprentice Ruler), 2 KUN and 1 KAN (Retiring)
Period 3 = 3 ZHEN and 9 LI(Dead/Untimely), 3 ZHEN and 8 GEN(Dead/Untimely)
Period 4 = 4 XUN and 7 DUI(Dead/Untimely), 4 XUN and 2 KUN(Dead/Untimely)
Period 5 = No Pairs
Period 6 = 6 QIAN and 8 GEN(Apprentice Ruler), 6 QIAN and 9 LI(Dead/Untimely)
Period 7 = 7 DUI and 1 Kan(Dead/Untimely), 7 DUI and 4 XUN(Dead/Untimely)
In Period 7 Star 1 Kan is and 4 XUN is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 8 Star 3 ZHEN and 6 QIAN is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 9 Star 6 QIAN and 3 ZHEN is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 6 Star 8 GEN is Apprentice Ruler, 9 LI is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 5 Stars 5 ” Has No Pairs”
In Period 4 Star 7 DUI and 4 XUN is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 3 Star 9 LI and 8 GEN is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In Period 2 Star 4 XUN is Apprentice Ruler and 1 KAN is Retiring and “Usable”.
In Period 1 Star 2 KUN is Future Ruler, and 7 DUI is Dead/Untimely, but is reclassified as “Usable”.
In every Period there are 3 Timely stars and up to 2 stars that are useable, even if they happen to be Untimely because of the relationship between the Early Bagua (Heaven) and the Later Bagua (Heaven. In some cases they may already be classed as Timely, like star 2 in period 1, star 4 in Period 2 and 8 in period 6; in these 3 periods 1 – 2 – 6 there is only one useable star 2 – 4 – 8 respectively.
