Elements

Each of the 5 Elements used by Feng Shui consultants to create balance and harmony, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and wood; each has a unique energy signature (resonant frequency). They react differently to each other in defined cycles. They should be thought of as phases, cycles provide the practical key to Flying Stars cures, and so it is very useful to know them.

Five Elements

Five Elements (wu xing) Wu Xing is said to mirror the structure of the cosmos through the five elements. Each “element” has a series of associations with different aspects of nature. In Feng Shui it uses the five elements (Wu Xing) system to Balance or repair Imbalance where needed.

Weakening Cycle

Reductive Cycle, when an element weakens or “reduces” another element, this the safest cycle to use and the goto cycle for remedies by Feng Shui consultants. If you want to support a good Star that is being dominated, then use the reductive cycle element to remedy.

Production Cycle

Production Cycle, when an element strengthens or “produces” another element, it brings out the qualities (for good or for bad) of the element being strengthened.This is why you need to be familiar with the meanings of the Stars and not just which element they represent.

Destructive Cycle

Destructive Cycle you need to be careful when using the destructive cycle to cure a problem. It is often better to use the reductive cycle when possible. Bit like using a hammer to crack a nut and you never know where it will end up. You just need to weaken the offending star to cancel out the potential problems.

Water Element

Water element is the most yin in character of the Five elements. Water element motion is downward and inward and its energy is stillness and conserving. Water energy is good for enhancing career and for improving communication.

Wood Element

Wood element is associated with new beginnings, wood can help you make smooth progress in the projects you undertake. Wood is the element of 2 trigrams Xun and Zhen.

Fire Element

Fire is the second phase of Wu Xing. Fire is yang in character. Its motion is upward and its energy is expansive. Fire is associated with summer, the South, the planet Mars, the colour red (associated with extreme luck), hot weather, daylight.

Earth Element

Earth is a balance of yin and yang, the feminine and masculine together, it is the element of the central palace. Earth is the element of 2 trigrams Kun and Gen; it is the only element to be represented in 3 palaces.

Metal Element

Metal is the element of 2 trigrams Qian and Dui, this element of metal draws and unifies all of the elements together.
